Squadron

A squadron was a group of starfighters, bombers, gunships or other aerial or spaceborne combat craft that fought together in combat. Typically consisting of twelve to sixteen starfighters, squadrons were in turn divided up into flights and flight elements, with three flights of two elements apiece. In turn, three to six squadrons made up a fighter wing. On the world of Adumar, squadrons were known as flightknives.
