It is unknown if squiges is the plural or singular name of the species. The species is referred to as the cunning squiges; however, this article makes no assumptions as to whether or not the name is singular or plural, and lists it by the only name indicated by released sources.
Squiges were referenced in the profile for the Quarren Deep Hunter in Death in the Undercity. When the adventure was reprinted in Classic Adventures: Volume Three, the reference to squiges was removed.
