The Stalfonauts were a group of salvagers. They entered the ruins of the Almas Academy shortly after its Destruction, to see what they could find. However, in the Academy's library room, they encountered a group of bounty hunters under the leadership of the Kel Dor Jacen Yar and both groups were wiped out in the resulting firefight.

The bodies of the Stalfonauts were later inhabited by two Guardian Spirits, who reanimated the corpses, making them seem to have came back to life.
