The Star Chamber Café was the central reception area at the Lucky Despot Hotel & Casino in Mos Eisley on the planet, Tatooine. A Whiphid crime-lord named Lady Valarian owned the Lucky Despot. It was here that she celebrated her wedding to the Whiphid hunter, D'Wopp. Valarian hired Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes to perform at her wedding reception. However, Valarian's underworld rival, Jabba the Hutt decided to crash her party. He sent a Duros bounty hunter and several other henchmen to disrupt the festivities under the pretext of protecting a prior investment. Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes were under an exclusive contract to perform only for Jabba, and the Hutt wanted to shut down their performance. As luck would have it, several Imperial Stormtroopers likewise raided the Star Chamber Café and engaged in a blaster-fight with Jabba's cronies. Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes managed to slip out the back door of the hotel and escape into the streets of Mos Eisley.
