When conflict threatens to erupt somewhere in the galaxy, Jedi Knights are dispatched to mediate, uphold righteousness, and defend the weak. But if the potential conflict threatens to explode into full-scale galactic war, the Jedi Masters themselves must be on hand. Unfortunately, a web of deceit on a grand scale awaits Ki-Adi-Mundi, his new apprentice A'Sharad Hett, and the rest of the Jedi Council on the high-speed Podracing tracks of Malastare!
This arc opens with a training session of A'sharad Hett by the Dark Woman. Shortly after, Ki-Adi-Mundi is called to a session of the Jedi Council. The matter at hand: insurgents on the planet Lannik are finally willing to begin peace talks. The talks are to take place on the planet Malastare, in the Mid Rim. Six members of the Council are chosen to go as mediators: Ki-Adi-Mundi, Even Piell, Plo Koon, Adi Gallia, Yaddle, and Mace Windu. As Mace Windu and Eeth Koth complete the Concordance of Fealty, Ki-Adi-Mundi finds his Padawan talking with a young Anakin Skywalker.

Behind the scenesEdit
The Concordance of Fealty was a retcon to explain the difference between Mace Windu's two lightsabers, the one that appears in The Phantom Menace, and the one that comes with the Hasbro action figure.
