The cruiser brings them aboard and the Jedi are shocked to find themselves surrounded by Quarren, including the renegade Quarren Senator Tikkes. Suspicious, the Jedi decide to accompany the Senator on his trip, in order to keep a close eye on him. Meanwhile, on the Dark Woman seeks shelter from a meteor storm on her hidden refuge planet, only to be tracked down by her former apprentice, none other than Sing herself. Coincidentally, this happens to be the very planet to which the Jedi Masters and their Quarren escort are going. In an attempt to set up a perimeter, several Quarren are killed when they detonate mines left by Sing. It is at this moment that the Dark Woman choses to reveal herself. Mistakenly believing her to be their assailant, a Quarren soldier opens fire on her. Shocked, Ki-Adi-Mundi and A'Sharad Hett rush to find the Dark Woman. As soon as they find her, however, they are attacked by Aurra Sing.
