The first issue

Star Wars: The Official Magazine was a magazine published every two months by Titan Magazines in the UK, and also shipped to other countries such as Australia. Much of the content was taken from Star Wars Insider and initially also included comics from Dark Horse. From #25 onwards the magazine was titled simply Star Wars on the cover, whilst some posters included with the magazine offered a third title: The UK Official Star Wars Magazine.

Titan also released UK printings of The Official Star Wars 20th Anniversary Commemorative Magazine and Episode I and II souvenir magazines. The Revenge of the Sith Souvenir Magazine was printed as #57 of the regular title, whilst #60 contained most of Vader: The Ultimate Guide; the short story In His Image was not included but was printed in the following issue.

February 2007 saw the publication of the sixty-eighth issue, after which it was merged with Star Wars Insider after Titan gained the publishing rights for that. In the UK the numbering carried on from where The Official Magazine had left off.
