The Star Wars Blu-ray release is the first release of the six main Star Wars films on the Blu-ray format.

The collection was released on September 16, 2011. The set was first announced by George Lucas at Celebration V in August 2010.[1]

Each of the individual trilogy sets has three discs, one for each film in the set, including two audio commentary tracks. The Complete Saga set contains these discs and three discs of bonus material:[5]

  • Disc Seven: Star Wars Archives: Episodes I-III[5]
    • Including: deleted, extended and alternate scenes; prop, maquette and costume turnarounds; matte paintings and concept art; supplementary interviews with cast and crew; a flythrough of the Lucasfilm Archives and more
