Star Wars Droids 3: The Scarlet Pirate is the third issue of the Star Wars: Droids series of comics. The story is split up into two chapters, "The Scarlet Pirate Part 1" and "The Scarlet Pirate Part 2: End of the Game."

C-3PO & R2-D2 are purchased by Ambassador Zell, who wants the droids to look after his son, Llez, while he's away on business, but the boy feels neglected, and runs away and joins the space pirate Reddjak and his crew, who are using the boy to get to Zell.
