The Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace script facsimile was written by George Lucas and published on February 1, 2000 by Lucas Books. It is based on the script of the movie of the same name. Despite the title, the script has been edited to match the film exactly and does not represent an accurate version of the Episode I shooting script.
