The Phantom Menace 1 was the first issue in the Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace series of comics. It was released May 5, 1999 and tells the approximant the first half-hour of the film up to Darth Sidious introducing Darth Maul to Nute Gunray (which is dipicted as taking place after Qui-Gon Jinn announces heading towards Tatooine).
