Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1: Commencement, Part 1 |
Knights of the Old Republic 0: Crossroads was a supplemental comic to Dark Horse's Knights of the Old Republic comic series. It was included in the Knights of the Old Republic/Rebellion 25¢ flip-book.
The idea of such a flip-book was suggested by John Jackson Miller when the Knights of the Old Republic series was already in production. As a result, Brian Ching was distracted from drawing the main series, and Travel Foreman drew the fifth issue instead. Issue 0 was actually released after issue 1, and served as a prequel of sorts, but the issues were reordered chronologically for the trade paperback.

[edit] Plot summary
As another attempt to arrest Marn Hierogryph goes wrong, Zayne Carrick is stopped by a young Jedi named Squint. Squint tells him that he and his master are heading to the Outer Rim Territories to fight in the Mandalorian Wars. He also attempts to recruit Zayne into their cause, but is unsuccessful, as Zayne wishes to fully devote himself to his Jedi training. As the issue closes, Lucien Draay and Q'Anilia discuss a necessary "change" in their plans.
