After cutting his way through doors and bulk-lifter droids, Zayne is forced to use the same speeder he came in on, and takes Gryph with him. After a speeder chase through the skies of Taris and into a school, the two are forced to drop into a garbage chute and evade capture by the Jedi Council.
Now Zayne and Gryph are wanted criminals (though Gryph was already a criminal) by the Tarisian authorities. Zayne has been framed for the death of his fellow Padawans. Meanwhile, the Jedi Council has meditated on the two's whereabouts. The Undercity.
