Plot SummaryEdit

The story opens with Rawk recording an oral journal intended for his wife Droo to avoid missing her. He is piloting the Mynock, and hiding the destination from all of the starship's crew: the Zeltron Deliah Blue, Azlyn Rae, Cade Skywalker, and Jariah Syn.

Soon they reach the Hidden Temple, and are welcomed by the Zabrak Jedi Master Wolf Sazen (Cade's Jedi Master and Kol's Apprentice), and the Twi'lek Jedi Shado Vao (another of Kol's Apprentice) with their lightsabers ignited, and the Mynock's crew doesn't take long to discover that they were tracked by the Imperial Knights.

Soon Cade has a bladelock with Antares Draco, and Shado with Ganner Krieg. Wolf Sazen, meanwhile, has a more verbal confrontation with the Princess Marasiah Fel. Cade soon discovers that Azlyn not only was the one who led the Imperial Knights to the Hidden Temple, but also became one of them. During some time the Imperial Knights try to persuade the Jedi that their Emperor, Roan Fel, had nothing to do with the alliance between Darth Krayt's One Sith and the Fel Empire, and that the one responsible for this was the Moff Council.

Cade, Wolf Sazen, Shado Vao and the Imperial Knights are soon called to a conference with Neti Jedi Master T'ra Saa, Chandra-Fan Jedi Master Tili Qua, and Whiphid Jedi Master K'Kruhk. In this conference some terrible truths are revealed: That the Terrible Darth Krayt was once Jedi Knight A'Sharad Hett, that the Sith Lord knows of Cade's mysterious healing power, that the One Sith collapsing, and that Krayt is dying. He suggests killing the Sith Lord, but T'ra Saa refuses, saying that death was not the Jedi way, which infuriates Cade.

Meanwhile, the other crewmembers of the Mynock are doing different things to kill the time. Blue becomes friends with Jedi Master Tobias Sun, and Azlyin and Jariah talk about the current situation. Their talk is cut short when Azlyn is reunited with her Jedi Master, Rasi Tuum, who informs her of Ahn's death and Zho's survival.

In a corner, after the conference, the Imperial trio wonder it it would be easy to bring Cade to their cause. Back at the Mynock, Jariah speaks to a photo of his father, saying that he finally found out his murderer, and that he was planing to kill the murderer in a moment he was alone.
