[edit] Publisher's summary
Ki-Adi-Mundi is a Jedi Knight of formidable power and influence, but not on his own homeworld of Cerea. Most of the planet's citizens are happy to continue their low-tech lives of simplicity, isolated from the Republic, but a new generation of Cereans crave speeder bikes and starships, and are prepared to fight their elders for them! How can a Jedi take up arms against his own children?
[edit] Plot summary
Meetings are taking place to bring Cerea into the Republic. In exchange for access to Cerea's resources, the Republic representative promises technology. While the Elders wish to keep their low-tech lives, most of the younger generation, led by offworlder politician Bron wish to be brought up to speed with the rest of the galaxy. During a pro-tech rally, a misunderstanding causes Ki-Adi-Mundi to be accused of murder. Meanwhile, the Chevin smuggler Ephant Mon has begun scouting resources on the idyllic world.
