A Star frigate, sometimes written as Star Frigate,^[1] was a category of large frigates used by space fleets to support larger warships.

CharacteristicsEdit

Their roles generally included fighting starfighters, crippling a larger ship, or finishing off an enemy capital ship.

The Munificent-class star frigate was noted as being a light warship with oversized guns and redundant power-systems, which contributed to its power in combat.^[2]

Lancer-class frigates were used in this category during the Galactic Civil War, specifically as Anti-Starfighter Frigates.
