Static Barrier was created by the user by drawing on the power of the dark side of the Force surrounding themselves in an electrical shield of a mild to high voltage of static energy. This power granted near invincibility for its duration.

Behind the scenesEdit

This power can be trained by Sith Inquisitors after achieving level 14 if their chosen advanced class is the Sith sorcerer. The player cannot increase the duration of the power but can increase its consumpton making it stronger to withstand and absorb higher concentrations of damage as the player progresses through the game and achieves higher levels. In addition to the player being able to shield themselves with the power, the caster can also shield those around him/her such as other players and companions allowing them to withstand higher amounts of damage as well for the duration.

Palpatine utilized a similar ability to Static Barrier during his battle with Galen Marek, often utilizing it when temporarily retreating from the battle to allow his red guards and senate guards to attack Marek.
