The stava was a quadruped carnivore on Honoghr that had good endurance, but it was rendered extinct after the contamination of the planet during the Battle of Honoghr in the Clone Wars.

The native Noghri named a martial art after the stava. There was also an expression used by the Noghri about arguments, that something was being fought over like "a bone among hungry stava".
