- "Convey my dissatisfaction with Commander Stavan on his performance. Inform him that he has been removed from command and will be reassigned. That is all."
- ―Galak Fyyar's transmission to the Kejim outpost
Stavan was a male officer under the command of Admiral Galak Fyyar of the Empire Reborn, a faction of the Imperial Remnant. Holding a rank of commander, he was stationed in an outpost located on the planet Kejim[1] around 12 ABY. During that year,[2] around the time a New Republic agent named Kyle Katarn was investigating the outpost, Admiral Fyyar made a transmission to the outpost, in which he expressed disappointment with Stavan's performance and instructed that Stavan be removed from command and reassigned.[1]
During his time investigating the Kejim outpost, Katarn stumbled upon the transmission involving Stavan and several other messages while examining a communications console.[1]
Behind the scenes
Stavan was mentioned in the 2002 video game Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, in which he did not appear but was mentioned in a transmission. While the communications console containing the message could be accessed by Kyle Katarn—the player character—finding the console was optional and did not affect the outcome of the game. However, this article was written with the assumption of 100 percent game completion.
