Strained keebadas, known in Huttese as keebadas binggona, were a Hutt dish containing keebadas. The food was considered a delicacy and recommended by the scholar Ebenn Q3 Baobab.

DescriptionEdit

Strained keebadas, known in Huttese as keebadas binggona, was a food dish containing keebadas.[1]

HistoryEdit

Strained Keebadas were produced by the Hutt species, who called them keebadas binggona in Huttese, and considered a delicacy. In 6 ABY, the Human scholar, Ebenn Q3 Baobab recommended the dish as one of his favorites in his book, Galactic Phrase Book & Travel Guide and advised any Humans visiting the spaceport of Mos Eisley on the planet Tatooine to try it in the Hutt eateries found there. The dish was mentioned in the Huttese section of the guide, in which Baobab recommended that it be eaten with gloves. The section also explained that Huttese dishes were usually eaten casually in a random order, with utensils being optional and prices being high.[1] In 19 ABY,[2] strained keebadas were served at a feast held by the Hutt crime lord Popara Anjiliac Diresto in his penthouse on the planet Nal Hutta.[3]

Behind the scenesEdit

Strained keebadas were first mentioned in the book Galactic Phrase Book & Travel Guide, which was written by Ben Burtt in 2001. They later appeared in the 2012 novel Scourge written by Jeff Grubb. Scourge was a novelized version of the Wizards of the Coast Star Wars Roleplaying Game adventure Tempest Feud, although the dish was not mentioned in the original RPG material.
