A stun charge was a security device that could be added to a shock-filament. A person stepping on a shock-filament would suffer from a an intense electrical charge, sufficient enough to pass through any footwear—insulated or otherwise—into the offender. The charge was powerful enough to render a Wookiee unconscious, and repeated shocks could kill a Human.
