Stygeon Prime, also known simply as Stygeon, was a mountainous, snowy planet located in the Stygeon system of the Outer Rim Territories' Nuiri sector.[10] The world's blizzard conditions made it the perfect location for a prison, as prisoners attempting escape would not survive outside the prison walls unless they could use a Tibidee to fly them to safety.[8] During the Clone Wars, the Sith Lords Darth Tyranus and Darth Sidious imprisoned Sidious's former apprentice Maul in the Spire, a Confederate prison on Stygeon Prime. Maul was later broken out by Mandalorian forces that were part of the Shadow Collective.[10] After the Clone Wars, the planet was occupied by the Galactic Empire.[9]

Description[]

Stygeon Prime, otherwise known as Stygeon, was a mountainous and snow-covered planet[7] located in the Stygeon system[3] of the Outer Rim Territories'[1] Nuiri sector.[2] The planet was 9,100 kilometers in diameter,[5] and held a Type I atmosphere, with a mixture of oxygen, hydrogen and nitrogen,[4] as well as a thin[5] and cold climate.[7] In orbit of a single star[4] and orbited by two moons,[5] Stygeon was almost completely devoid of native life,[4] except for the large tibidee creatures that called it home.[7]
