The Sullustan resistance was a resistance cell on the volcanic world of Sullust during the Galactic Civil War. Led by Alliance operative Nien Nunb, the cell became an increasing threat to the Galactic Empire on Sullust and when Nien Nunb rallied them and the Cobalt Laborers' Reformation Front during the Siege of Inyusu Tor, they managed to take over Sullust's Capital City, Pinyumb.

Led by Nien Nunb, the Sullustan resistance formed when operatives from the Alliance to Restore the Republic, including Corjentain Malaqua, came to Sullust had initially went to Sullust to support the Cobalt Laborers' Reformation Front, who were becoming increasingly anti-Imperial. The cell soon found out that its militant members had been imprisoned and the rest were too afraid to fight, so they decided to go on helping the citizens to try and win them over one by one. The Empire was keen to crack down on the resistance following a bombing on a facility. Imperial Intelligence quickly suspected Nunb, Corjentain and another Alliance operative called Sian Tevv of being part of the movement. Soon after, a squad of Imperial stormtroopers stormed the VCX-150 freighter Keepsake and apprehended a Chadra-Fan from the resistance. Before the Chadra-Fan could spill anything, a detonator set off and a few stormtroopers were killed in the blast. The squad leader SP-113 and SP-475 survived and took the Chadra-Fan away.[1]

When the Alliance's Sixty-First Mobile Infantry were stranded on Sullust, Captain Hazram Namir went to Pinyumb to find them for help. However he and his men were ambushed and Nunb rescued Namir. Nunb took him to the Sullustan resistance safe house where he met Malaqua and two other human operatives from the resistance. Although they were not able to help Namir, being only four fighters strong, the man encouraged them to rally the Cobalt Laborers' and take Pinyumb while the Sixty-First faced the ground forces at Inyusu Tor. The Sixty-First won the battle due to the use of lava flow on the ground and the internal sabotage of the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Herald by the faked surrender of Everi Chalis. Nunb had the Sullustan resistance and Cobalt Labourers take Pinyumb and kick start a planet wide uprising on Sullust[1]
