A suspended animation capsule was a type of device that could be used to put individuals into suspended animation. Shortly prior to the Great Hyperspace War, the Massassi Ra-Zyrth and a number of top Sith commanders were placed into suspended animation capsules. During the Battle of Coruscant the Sith fired the capsules and their occupants into the cityscape of Coruscant.
