Plot summary
Het Nkik, unlike most Jawas, is not content to run away and hide when threatened. When his clan-mate and best friend Jek Nkik is killed by stormtroopers looking for R2-D2 and C-3PO he buys an illegal DL-44 blaster pistol at a Jawa annual swap-meet, sets off to Mos Eisley for vengeance and to show other Jawas they're not powerless. He's encouraged in this by Obi-Wan Kenobi when they meet at the burnt-out wreckage of Jek's sandcrawler.
Behind the scenes
The story incorrectly calls the DL-44 heavy blaster pistol a blaster rifle.
