Swap Meet: The Jawa's Tale is a short story written by Kevin J. Anderson for Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina which was published by Bantam Spectra in August 1995. The short story, which takes place in 0 BBY, is about Het Nkik.
Plot summary

Het Nkik, unlike most Jawas, is not content to run away and hide when threatened. When his clan-mate and best friend Jek Nkik is killed by Stormtroopers looking for R2-D2 and C-3PO he buys an illegal DL-44 blaster pistol at a Jawa annual swap-meet, sets off to Mos Eisley for vengeance and to show other Jawas they're not powerless. He's encouraged in this by Ben Kenobi when they meet at the burnt-out wreckage of Jek's sandcrawler.
Note: The text incorrectly calls the DL-44 a blaster rifle, not a pistol.
