Sweet-sand cookies were a variety of cookie, often served with tarine tea. Obi-Wan Kenobi once recalled discussing surrender with Whorm Loathsom when the Kerkoiden general found out that it was, in fact, his surrender they were discussing; Kenobi says he became "most ungentlemanly" and didn't offer him a sweet-sand cookie.

Sweet-sand cookies are assumed to mean sugar-sprinkled cookies, since sugar is similar to sand, and is very sweet. Also, sugar-dusted cookies are often served with tea and other hot beverages in real life.
