Swift Liberty was a New Republic Victory II-class Star Destroyer commanded by Admiral Areta Bell and was often paired with the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Moonshadow. Lieutenant Cyslo was the helmsman for the Swift Liberty, while Commander Tal'kina served as the sensor officer.

Swift Liberty participated in the New Republic attack of Liinade III, a planet from Prince-Admiral Delak Krennel's Ciutric Hegemony. With the help of the Freedom, another Imperial II-class Star Destroyer, Swift Liberty hammered the Krennel's Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Direption into a manageable state allowing New Republic veteran starfighter squadron Rogue Squadron to safely head toward their ground targets.
