"Swoop" was the nickname of a clone trooper pilot who led Group Two during the Battle of Ryloth.

Biography

After Techno Union Foreman Wat Tambor seized control of the planet Ryloth and its inhabitants, the Jedi Council dispatched General Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan, Commander Ahsoka Tano, to destroy the Separatist blockade surrounding the planet, under the command of Captain Mar Tuuk.

Ahsoka led a squadron, for the first time, taking command of Blue Squadron under the callsign Blue Leader. Swoop joined fellow pilots Axe, Slammer, Kickback and Tucker in his V-19 Torrent starfighter in fighting the advancing Vulture droids, and his squadron was able to cut a clear path to the lead ship. However, after Separatists reinforcements arrived out of hyperspace, Ahsoka disobeyed a direct order from both Admiral Yularen and Anakin to return and defend the Resolute. Tucker was shot down by a Vulture droid. Ahsoka finally complied, but by the time she returned to the Resolute, eight of her original ten clone pilots had died with Swoop and Kickback being the only survivors.^[1]
