A swooper (also swooptroop, swoop troop, or swoop trooper) was an individual who rode a swoop. Around the time of the Galactic Civil War, most swoopers were criminals and members of swoop gangs. Around 4000 years earlier, swoop racing was a popular sport galaxy-wide, and particularly successful swoopers would rise to celebrity status.
