Sycorax was a female witch who died many years before the Battle of Yavin. She claimed that she had the power to revive the dead. However, the people of Necropolis killed her only son and challenged her to revive him. After this, she traveled across the world of Necropolis and warned the people not to disturb the dead. She eventually died, although she would live on in the form of a horror legend.
