A Synthesized Byrothsis lens was a lightsaber focusing lens created using Byrothsis, a compound that was originally used to create infrared camera lenses. The resulting focusing lens was capable of strengthening the lightsaber beam, although the wielder of the blade had a more difficult time deflecting enemy blaster bolts.
