[edit] Biography

T1-LB was first created some time prior to the Great Sith War. After fleeing from Taris during the events following the Padawan Massacre of Taris, Zayne Carrick and the crew of the Last Resort encountered T1-LB on the rogue moon. Zayne decided to examine the droid's memory in an attempt to find out why no less than five Jedi Masters were out to get him. During the course of the investigation, Zayne deduced that T1-LB could not have foolishly fallen off the cliff.

To that end, the droid was taken aboard the Last Resort and repaired by Camper, who gave him such additions as a hologram projector and a vocabulator. Then, as Zayne watched his Masters plot to kill their Padawans and Zayne, the final transmission showed Lucien Draay using the Force to push the droid off the cliff, because T1-LB was recording the masters' plot and they did not want any trace of their conversation to fall into the wrong hands.

The droid then deleted the hologram on his own because the memory of his "death" tangled up his motivation center. Later, T1-LB became one of Zayne's companions in his adventures.

When Zayne and Gryph parted ways with Jarael and Camper T1-LB remained with the latter to help in any way.

[edit] Behind the scenes

Despite differing in form and function from T1-N1, the two contemporary droids share a series designation.

On his blog, John Jackson Miller has stated that LB is loosely based on Herman Melville's character Bartleby the Scrivener.
