T5-G3 was a labor management droid working within the New Republic's Ministry of Science where it coordinated the tasks of other droids. T5-G3 had been modified by Imperial technicians to operate as an espionage droid. The modifications affected T5-G3's personality, causing a short in the droid's logic dispensor causing it to act in a quirky manner.
