The TIE Pirates were a renegade faction of Imperial starfighter pilots who were hiding out on the planet of Radix in the Abraxas system in the wake of the Battle of Endor. They committed several raids on New Republic freighters and convoys that they saw as trespassing in their home system while using Radix as a depot to refuel and rearm their ships.

The group was created in 4 ABY after the debacle at Endor and was led by Captain Kiela. A former stormtrooper master sergeant named Kine later betrayed the group during a battle between the TIE Pirates and forces of the New Republic.
