Behind the scenesEdit
Jango Fett's armor is incorrectly colored and instead looks like that of Boba Fett. This is corrected in the trade paperback.
Outside the Galaxies Opera House can be seen references to the musicals The Phantom of the Opera, Fiddler on the Roof, The Lion King, Wicked, Avenue Q (written in Aurebesh) and Annie. The entire scene is likely a homage to Broadway. Also, during the showing of Squid Lake, the main characters from Finding Nemo are in the 'stage.' The Red Guards are reading Playbill and Variety.
The Characters 'Jay' (Jason Mewes) and 'Silent Bob' (Kevin Smith) are responsible for the recruiting of Tag and Bink on their respective homeworlds. In the recruitment scene Tag is levitating a Darth Tater. The Force Detector being used to register Tag has a Macintosh operating system, and has "John Edward," "Vegas magician," and "Medium" as skill levels.
In the youngling day care, a LEGO Venator Star Destroyer (a reference to Erik Varszegi) a miniature Death Star and a Star Wars lunchbox can be seen, and Shaak Ti mentions M&M's. Later, in the youngling school, Yoda uses a hologram of Skippy the Jedi Droid.
When Tag is before the Jedi Council, the Battlestar Galactica can be seen behind Mace Windu's head. Later, Bink is seen reading Jedi Tricks for Dummies, a parody of the ...for Dummies series of books. Also, in the Jedi Archives, the Lost Twenty busts include Randy Stradley and Mike Richardson, and there is a man dressed in a British suit in the background.
Outside of Dex's Diner, The Beatles can be seen crossing the street in the image as their famous Abbey Road album. Inside of Dex's Diner, George Lucas can be seen filming the proceedings in a pose based on an on-set photo from American Graffiti. Other patrons of Dex's Diner include Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story; Gort from The Day the Earth Stood Still; and Tom Servo, Crow T. Robot, and Gypsy from Mystery Science Theater 3000.
