Takara's stronghold was a fortress built on an unknown planet, possibly Nal Hutta, and was Takara's personal base of operations.

DesignEdit

Built directly out of a cliff side to the south and surrounded by water to the north, the building was very difficult to enter. Inside, there were many rooms of varying design, including a droid torture facility, a private skiff dock, and, most notably, a rancor pit.

It also had an extensive dungeon complex, containing fifteen cells, guarded by a pair of Gamorreans. However, the back wall of one of the cells was collapsed, allowing anyone with access to the cell to escape into the sewer system beyond. Such an endeavor would likely have been useless, as the only real exit led directly to the rancor pit.

HistoryEdit

In 10 ABY Mara Jade was imprisoned in Takara's stronghold after falling into a trap lain in Katraasii Spaceport by Abron Mar. After fighting her way clear of the dungeons with her bare hands, she was able to kill Takara's rancor, steal a valuable GCT devise, and successfully escape to return to the New Republic.

Behind the scenesEdit

Takara's stronghold is the setting of an entire level in Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith.

It has never been specified on precisely which planet Takara's fortress was located. Several fans have ventured the guess of Nal Hutta, based mostly on its swampy, gray surroundings, and that Ka'Pa described Takara as his "rival" leading some to believe he is also a Hutt. However, this is speculation at this point, and it has yet to be determined where the base is located.
