Takhal nuts were a type of nut that was edible by Humans and sometimes served roasted. In 19 BBY, the Zeltron Dejah Duare purchased roasted takhal nuts and sweet ice for the Human Force-sensitive, Kajin Savaros, at a small bazaar on the galactic capital planet Coruscant.[1]

Takhal nuts first appeared in Coruscant Nights III: Patterns of Force, a 2008 novel that was written by Michael Reaves[1] with help from Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff.[2]
