[edit] Courier Pic
Here's a candidate to represent the passenger version of the Y-Wing. It's from Entrenched:

also:

and:

I'm no good at picture placement in articles. Any help here would be hot. Dangerdan97 02:33, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
- More Courier love, this time from Hoth Stuff:

- So are there two courier models, or is one of them a different Y-wing variant? Grand Moff Tranner

[edit] Different models
What about the light/advanced y-wings from Galactic Battlegrounds? They need to be included. Corellian Premier 17:48, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Anyone? Corellian Premier 23:24, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
- I've not seen the sprites for those, but is it possible they match up with the longprobe and the courier, respectively? Dangerdan97 23:46, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Not really. One's a tiny Y-wing and the other is a large Y-wing with four engines and, if I remember right, a larger cockpit. I'd show you, but I uninstalled GB. — Aiddat (Holonet) (Contribs Log)

- The light and advanced Y-wings are definitely unique models. I really thought we had pics for these on here...hmmm. The only mission in GB where you start out with the Adv Y-wing, IIRC, is the Battle of Coruscant, in the "Bantam" New Republic era. The age of the light Y-wing is left nebulous.JustinGann 00:09, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Starfighter of Anakin Skywalker
Er, what is the "Starfighter of Anakin Skywalker" box doing at the bottom of the page? This is an article about the starfighter type, right, not the specific machine of this model that Anakin piloted? I am removing the box.--Secretss 17:43, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed, good change. Sometimes we tend to go overboard with template usage. Toprawa and Ralltiir 17:57, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
[edit] BTL?
I know someone probably asked this before, or it says it on the main page, but I don't have much time: What does BTL stand for, if anything? Thanks ahead of time. MastahCheef117 23:57, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Speed
Several years ago I received this image from Curtis Saxton: http://saxman.xwlegacy.net/Starfighters/IntroPics/ilmmglt1fromSWTC.jpg This is a production speed and maneuverability reference chart used for filming the Battle of Endor sequence in Return of the Jedi, to establish the comparative speeds between the different spacecraft at Endor for the effects crews. The interesting thing of note here is that according to ILM, the Y-wing is every bit as fast as the X-wing and TIE starfighter, if not quite as maneuverable. This actually holds up quite well to what we see in the actual films, where the Y-wings (especially at Endor) are holding their own pretty well compared to the X-wing. At the very least, I think this is worth mentioning in the "Behind the Scenes" section of the article. Ambaryerno 02:44, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
