Talk:Biker Advanced Recon Commando

Back to page

Can someone explain why standard clone troopers would use different colored BARC armor just to operate on a jungle world? It makes everything so confusing since they aren't really BARCs then, yet they appear to be! And, if anyone can answer it, whats the whole deal with the scout/recon/swamp troopers? Are one of these names the term for the BARC-armor-wearing non-BARCs we see on Kashyyk? I'm assuming they're all names for the same trooper type. So which is the official title? Thanks.

  • BARC troopers were just clone troopers equipped to ride BARC speeders. I don't think that they had assigned armor. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 00:24, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

So, BARCs are indifferent from all other standard troopers except training? That's kinda...not as cool...So then, that armor type has got to be specifically used by a certain trooper type, so then what's their name? And its not really like the blinkered helmet Imperial-scout-trooper type armor is only used with that camo color only for Kashyyyk/by the 41st. There's an image of it in the Ep. III Visiual dictionary in standard white. So what's the deal? This has been driving me bonkers recently...

  • Actually, they were trained to ride BARC speeders, but there wasn't BARC-specific armor or anything as far as I know. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 00:35, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Damn...so then what the hell is that armor used for at all? Other than to piss off Clone trooper-freaks like me...

Woah woah woah, I thought that was fanon! So is it still disputed or not? Because I still see SuperShadow looming over the topic...Is it alright yet or not? Because I've seen that page before and it would be a logical explanation except for the canonicity dispute.

  • If it was fanon, it would have been deleted. A user just put up that warning because he wasn't satisfied with a "more sources" warning. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 01:48, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Alright, cool. Its worth mentioning though, I suppose, considering this site seems to take toys as sources (o_0) that Hasbro released a toy pack for a BARC speeder with an included rider labeled as a BARC Trooper, wearing the tan scout armor, so...But whatever, thanks for helping me out.

  • I myself don't like the fact that toys are counted as sources, because toys are made for someone's enjoyment or collectables. Admiral J. Nebulax (talk) 20:49, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Image Edit

Whilst the image of that Star Corps BARC trooper looks cool, I, for one, would like to know where it came from.--Commander Jake 21:36, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
