[edit] Malastare
Wasn't Malastare colonised in 8,000 BBY? QuentinGeorge 11:13, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- The Databank entry on Gran says about "1000 years ago", but the entry on Dugs says Malastare had a Republic outpost established "8000 years ago", followed by the Gran. It could be that one of these entries is incorrect, or it could be that the Gran came to Malastare 7000 years after the Republic. (The other reference I used for the Gran, Galaxy Guide 12, says Gran colonies were established shortly after the Republic contacted the Gran, but of course doesn't name the colonies mentioned in the prequels.) - The New Essential Guide to Characters says 8,000 as well. Perhaps it was colonised then, but the Gran gained total control over the world only 7,000 years later? QuentinGeorge 11:46, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Or it's a mistake in the Gran's databank entry. Perhaps the question should be posed on the continuity message boards on Starwars.com. Silly Dan 11:59, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- The article on Gran said 1,000 BBY. The article on Malastare says 8,000 BBY. Something is wrong. -- Riffsyphon1024 07:11, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Well, the Dug article on the databank states that the Republic's been on Malastare for 8000 years, and that "Following the Republic, a contingent of Gran colonists settled on the planet." So, I guess the discrepancy has been noted, and the current story is that the Gran took over 7000 years after the Republic first established an outpost. -- Silly Dan 23:34, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Another point: Gran appear in the Nar Shaddaa levels of Knights of the Old Republic II, implying they had contact with the galactic community circa 4000 BBY. -- Silly Dan 03:23, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
