4-LOM is a featured article, which means it has been identified as one of the best articles produced by the Wookieepedia community. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, please feel free to contribute.
Why is there absolutely no reference to 4-LOM's quest for intuition in the article? Maybe it isn't referenced in other sources, but in "Of Possible Futures" it's a significant part of his character. It says he teamed up with Zuckuss specifically to further his understanding of the foreign concept of intuition, with the hopes of gaining that ability himself. Jawajoey 00:05, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Why? No one added it yet. =) Feel free to correct the article. --Imperialles 00:29, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
In this part of the article, it says 4-LOM worked with IG-88C, although he was destroyed. The only possible IG-88 droid left was IG-88D, right? IG-88C and B were destroyed, and A was deactivated at the time. Someone please fix this if I'm correct. -Anonymous Guy April 3, 2009
4-LOM.....the real meaning of the acronym-----and the true tale of the mix up between Zukcuss and 4-LOM Edit
My name is Tom Clark. I was the product manager for the first 3 Star Wars movies. In the thrid merchandising year of each movie, Kenner (now Hasbro) would be struggling to find fresh action figures and other products since most resources were exhausted from the toy lines planned for the first 2 product years of each movie.
We had a desire to build the bounty hunter portfolio supporting Boba Fett and chose the image of what is now called Zuckuss. Lucasfilm did not have a name for the figure, and I submitted the acronym 4-LOM....and its full name was For LOVE OR MONEY... (not Love OF Money). I am not clear where the name Zuckuss came from. This was approved in a letter from Maggie Young, who at the time was the head licensing contact at Lucasfilm.

Hi, can the article explain why the figures are mixed up? Why the black one was first called Zuckuss, and the tan one 4-LOM?202.82.171.186
We can assume that Super Star Wars games are not Canon for the movies and just there for entertainment, thus, we can assume 4LOM and the other Cloud city foes are NOT MEANT TO BE CANONICALLY REFERENCED. Discuss. So some guy who thinks they are can stop reverting my edit when I try to phrase it so this site doesn't look like it's edited by people who don't have common sense. —Unsigned comment by75.91.5.196 (talk • contribs).
This article is a Featured Article - which essentially means, "Don't touch it." Grand Moff Tranner(Comlink) 01:24, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Why haven't Tom Clark's comments from July 14, 2009 been incorporated into the main text of the article?
His resume supports his assertion, and I've personally spoken with another former well-known Kenner manager (Tom Neiheisel) who backs up this story. What would it take to get these essential 'BTS' facts into the 'Wookiee' record? The guy came up with the character's name after all.
Indeed, shouldn't there be a 'Wookiee' bio page on Tom C., considering that he had such a huge direct impact on the 'vintage' Kenner Star Wars toy line?
Probably because they aren't coming from an official source. I don't think it matters that he was once in charge of all this, at this point in time he's a man, who is not affiliated with the organization, on a computer making claims that are probably true but not guaranteed. If there was something a bit more official than this (e.g. something from LFL, something from a current high-up for Hasbro, etc.), in an official format (e.g. updates on LFL or Hasbro website, official paper, etc.) than it might be a bit more useable. But as it stands, a man posting on the Talk Page of a wiki article is not an official source. And since this is a Featured Article, all information in it needs a proper source. If Mr. Clark publishes this info through Hasbro, it would be official. Since he did not, it may not be true at all (no offense to Mr. Clark, but this is the internet; he may well have made the whole thing up, and we can't confirm it.) ADDENDUM: We also know that at least one point made by Mr. Clark is incorrect, per our sourcing guidelines. The acronym "For Love OF Money" is properly sourced as coming from the Star Wars Databank. "For Love OR Money" comes from a guy posting on the Talk Page of a wiki article. If he was, in fact, the one who came up with the name, then he should contact LFL to straighten it out. Until then, "For Love Of Money" is the official Real-Life meaning of the acronym 4-LOM. Taral, Dark Lord of the Sith-Just shy, not antisocial: You can talk to me!- 18:19, February 5, 2010 (UTC)
'Incorrect, per the sourcing guidelines', perhaps, but I think will be hashed out as FACTUAL in the end. Tom N. told me this story in face-to-face conversation 20 years ago, before the Web existed, and way before the 'collector blog infrastructure' was in place. He was in a position to know, and there was no reason for him to make the story up. IIRC, he did say, "For Love OF Money", which fits the context of a bounty hunter, however, if Tom C. makes a point of saying the 'O' stands for "Or" not "Of", then who's to argue (there was both a gameshow AND a pre-1980 movie entitled "For Love Or Money") -- that IS if it can be established that he said it at ALL, lol. I suspect this wheel will grind slowly, and it will take some time to turn it into a canonical remark -- he left his email address -- Maybe he'd be willing to provide a affidavit. But who to send it to here in the ether of Wikialand...(?) --Chachap1 04:26, February 6, 2010 (UTC)
