Appearances in the Battlefront games. Edit

I'm pretty sure the A295 Blaster Rifle appears in all the Battlefront games. I'm going to add them to the appearances.

Use in battles besides the Battle of Hoth. Edit

In Battlefront 1 and 2, the A295 Blaster Rifle is used in every battle the Alliance participates in. Since the games are considered canon I don't think the article should be restricted to use on Hoth and Endor.

This is wrong. The rifle used in BF is the DH-17 Rifle. --91.46.165.153 13:53, September 27, 2010 (UTC)

This article is completely wrong Edit

The rifle used in the Echo Base was called A280! --91.46.174.131 01:16, November 12, 2010 (UTC)

  • If you pay attention to the articles, you would see that both the A280 and A295 are used on Hoth. They also happen to be nearly identical props. Both articles are up to standard on the 280 vs 295 topic. -Zekk_Skywalk 02:40, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
    • The A280 is the only rifle I saw on Hoth. The only "source" for a "A295" is this SWCCG card: www.swccgpc.com/cards/SE/ls/echobasetrooperrifle.gif
      • But it shows the A280! Compare: www.partsofsw.com/bta280.htm I request the deletion of this article. --91.46.174.131 06:16, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
        • There is another canon source establishing its existence. Get over it. Graestan(Talk) 06:31, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
          • Then why is the card the only source in the article?? --91.46.174.131 06:42, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
            • Just because the CCG card shows possibly an erroneous image does not mean the gun itself is somehow non-existent. There were multiple imaging errors in the CCG sets. This card, for example, show a picture of K-3PO despite being a card for R-3PO. The gun itself is mentioned in the text of the "Echo Base Trooper Rifle" card and is therefore canonical. Toprawa and Ralltiir 06:50, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
              • And who said that the text in this card game is canonical? --84.139.111.41 07:14, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
                • Everything in licensed sources is canonical unless LFL says otherwise. Many, many articles are based on the canon from the CCG. Graestan(Talk) 07:23, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
                  • But the "A295" can't be canonical, because the card says it was standard-issue at echo base when it was really the A280! And I'm sure everybody would agree that "The New Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology" has a higher authority when it comes to weapons than the card game!? --84.139.111.41 07:37, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
                    • Just because one source says something doesn't mean it's mutually exclusive to everything else. It's not hard to imagine that possibly both rifles were standard issue at the base. Regardless of your opinion and unique interpretations, the subject of this article is canonical and it will stay that way. Get over it. Toprawa and Ralltiir 07:48, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
                      • Then how should the "A295" look like? The picture on the card is the A280... --84.139.111.41 07:52, November 12, 2010 (UTC) Oh, and I didn't see anything else other than the A280 in the Battle of Hoth. If there was another standard issue blaster rifle we would have seen it. --84.139.111.41 08:06, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
                        • If you had bothered to read the very first response to your original post, you would know by now that the A280 and A295 are nearly identical. I'd like to reiterate what has been said before: Your interpretation has no standing here. What's canon is canon, and you can't do anything to change it.
