Mind Walkers?
Edit
It says "Mind Walkers" here, but according to Omen, they are called the "Mind Drinkers who dwell in the Maw". I changed it but someone changed it back...Lukeiamyourfather 20:49, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
I'll change it again, and will quote the page number in Omen on here later tonight when I have access to the book. Anyone agree?
- If the official summary says "Mink Walkers" in the source where it's from, it should remain "Mind Walkers." It's possible that the Aing-Tii monks dissaprove of the "Mink Walkers," and therefore call them "Mink Drinkers." Reguardless, the summary should be kept at the same wording as it originally appeared. --207.224.81.160 19:29, 29 June 2009 (UTC)Red haired jedi
I second anything that says we change it back to "Mind Drinkers" (as I already did) since that was in Omen and I highly doubt they change that sort of thing for Abyss.--Darth Niffoc 20:29, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
Red Haired Jedi- Thanks for the info! But a question, did the official summary come out before Omen was released? Because if it did, then I would think that Omen would trump the summary. Rarely do we see a name in a book that is changed in the next book in the series and I would think that we should go with what the Aing Tii have named them, as per the book. Lukeiamyourfather 20:49, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- It is possible that Golden and Denning mistakenly believed the same species had different names. However, I still think that the 'Walkers' should be kept because in changing it to 'Drinkers,' the material that actually appears in the preview is changed. Once Abyss is released, the title of the species can be listed as either Drinkers or Walkers, depending on the material in Abyss. --Red haired jedi
Although this is all very important and all, I must remind you whoever you are to sign off with four tildes.--Darth Niffoc 20:46, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
I understand what you are saying, but by not changing, the actual book is changed. And if I had to weigh them, I would say the book, Omen, has more weight and carries more importance than a typo in a summary. Lukeiamyourfather 21:01, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- You make a good point. --Red haired jedi
- As I said earlier, not that anybody listens to me anyway...--Darth Niffoc 21:14, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- I think also we should also explore the possibility of a mistype by whoever wrote it (the article), and if not then I agree with Lukeiamyourfather.--Darth Niffoc 21:18, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- We're not changing the internal flap, regardless of whether it's wrong or not. It's what the internal flap does say, not what it should or shouldn't. -- I need a name (Complain here) 22:08, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
I actually hadn't realized that the culprit quote was from the internal flap of Abyss itself. I am anxious to see whether it is a typo or perhaps just a derogatory term the Aing-Tii use for these Walkers. Lukeiamyourfather 04:10, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
I don't know if it matters, but I got that summary from the Random House website here. They're usually right about the internal flap summaries, but I suppose it's always subject to change. Xicer9

Well I hope it is some sort of typo or this will start to get a little confusing and tedious.--Darth Niffoc 15:52, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
- the Aing Ti call the mind drinkers because they dont really understand them. but according to themselves they are actually the mind walkers

Some Errors
Edit
Noticed on some forum that sue rostoni was told about the "In a galaxy long long ago" sadly i lost my source, but she did mention that it was wrong and she had already fixed it in another novel of hers. However i think we all know its not right. Also wondering if Luke should still be listed as the grand master seeing as he is exiled. --JediShifty 21:04, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Leia
Edit
Is Leia's article ever going to be updated?
- Go for it! This is a community, and you're more than welcome to take the initiative and do it. I don't have the book with me, but I'll take a stab at her after Backlash. Menkooroo 00:07, February 5, 2010 (UTC)
* I would do it but I don't have my copy of Abyss with me I let my friend borrow it so I wont be able to update it for a while so can anyone else take a crack at it? jedi_master425
Lack of Plot Summary
Edit
Is anybody planning on writing a plot summary for Abyss? I am interested in maybe doing so, but I wanted to make sure nobody else wanted to! Kellymarieskywalker 21:45, April 25, 2010 (UTC)
What's with Jaden Korr and Avinoam Arelis?
Edit
My question is, why were Jaden Korr and Avinoam Arelis soft on the Mandalorian attackers? One, Mandalorians don't surrender. And two, the Mandalorians are crack shots! Obi-Wan Kenobody
