I'm not here to start a fight, but how do ACP weapons count as Blaster Weapons?--SWME 17:53, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hello.........Did anyone read my comment?--SWME 17:25, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- That's a good question. On Republic Commando (game), it does say that the ACP weapon is a "blaster weapon disguised as a slugthrower." (RC-1138) However, games go against cannon and I'm not so sure that a "Particle Repeater" is actually a blaster weapon. --Ryluk Shouja(Bounty Hunters Guild)10:12, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Well, if this only appears in the game, than there's no other canon to go against. That said, I wouldn't classify ACP weapons as blasters, because they appear to be fundamentally different weapons. -LtNOWIS 10:23, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Exactly. I wouldn't classify it as a "slugthrower," but it's not exactly a blaster weapon, either. The reason it's good against wet (biological) targets is because it is particles instead of energy. Particles cut through personal shields, which are designed to absorb energy bursts. For the same reason it's not good against droids, which are durasteel (generally) or some other strong alloy, which stops particles better than organic flesh.--Ryluk Shouja(Bounty Hunters Guild)10:31, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Edit
- Where's the source for the last paragraph? If the only appearance is Republic Commando, we have a problem, as the game never addresses this.--Ryluk Shouja(Bounty Hunters Guild)10:44, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- It appears to be based on the mechanism of the gun in the game, where you've got 40 shots and each one ejects a shell. Some of the phrasing is a little speculatory, but I think it's fundamentally correct. -LtNOWIS 10:55, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Alright, I'll take the warning off, but I still think it needs a better source.--Ryluk Shouja(Bounty Hunters Guild)11:06, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- I just was reminded that it appears in both Republic Commando: Hard Contact and Republic Commando: Triple Zero, however, they are only fleetingly mentioned, with no mention of how they work.--Ryluk Shouja(Bounty Hunters Guild)11:11, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
