Although I hesitate to use the official site as reference, the AT-AP is listed as a bipedal walker, i.e only with two legs. The third is just for stabilization and should not be counted as a "normal" leg. VT-16 16:05, 20 Jul 2005 (UTC)

It was the name they used during the design-phase only. Says so on its BtS-section on the OS. VT-16 19:19, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
- Is there any source that has the name actually part of canon? I thought it was only a prelimenary use during the design-process... VT-16 23:58, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

Does anybody know what typically carried them into battle from space during the Clone Wars? Xanofar 16:52, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

As far as I can see the LAAT/c would be the one carrying them or it could be an acclamator I-class assault ship. They aren't as big as the AT-TEs so Im guessing both are more likely to carry them depending on the mission and its execution of the stratagy.
if they're coming from a Venator-class destroyer then its an LAAT/c but there wouldn't be many AT-APs on board depending on the compliment the venator holds.
the Acclamator I/II-class would more then likely land them on the planet as they're built for planetary landings and can hold more ground vehicles then the venator. The venator is more of a starfighter carrier then a planetary assault ship.
