Alpha Squadron appears in a lot of places. I'm pretty sure that Alpha Squadron, Beta Squadron, Gamma Squadron, and so on are all just designations for fighter units for each individual mission or battle. • I agree. I think the names were more designations depending on role and craft - TIE Bombers tended to be Beta, for instance. It is possible, however, that a unit that actually WAS called Alpha Squadron was in operation - there were after all thousands of Imperial squadrons. Lenzar 18:46, June 16, 2010 (UTC)
