No Empire?Edit

I re-read this book the other day, and noticed that it states (in no uncertain terms) that there is absolutely *no* remnant of the Empire left at all. Which, of course, is somewhat out of keeping with the Hand of Thrawn duology, which takes place roughly a year or two after the events of this trilogy end if I recall.

Of course, at the time this book was written it was (to my knowledge) by far the most chronologically advanced thing written, so the author can hardly be blamed for not knowing Zahn's books would contradict him. Still, I am curious if there has ever been some kind of retcon to explain the discrepancy. If so, it would be handy to have that noted in the article. Linkskywalker 21:01, November 2, 2009 (UTC)
