Were the Antarian Rangers founded in 620 BBY or 500 BBY? Jaywin 19:25, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
- Hero's Guide has it as 600 years before the Clone Wars, don't know where the 500 figure is from -Dangerdan97 12:29, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Battlefront II
Edit
Who thinks that these guys are the soldiers you had to fight in Battlefront II in the Jedi temple level? —Unsigned comment by 89.27.200.151 (talk • contribs).
Behind the scenes
Edit
The article mentions that Antarian Rangers are similar in name and function as the Aquilian Rangers, based on The Making of Star Wars: The Definitive Story Behind the Original Film is this an interpretation of the source or a quotation? If it is a quotation, would it be possible to have it in full on this page (no need to edit the article)? Thank you.Tarnpagott 00:13, February 23, 2010 (UTC)Tarnpagott
History
Edit
This sentence doesn't make a lot of sense: "although New Republic politicians showed concern for another independent, paramilitary group aside from the new Jedi." Either "although" needs to change to, say, "and", or it should say "showed little concern." I don't think I have the source for this info, though, so I can't say which it should be. Help? - Actually, no. The sentence as it stands is fine. It indicates the NR was concerned with the Rangers' growth, in spite of said growth which would normally be intuited as a desirable situation given the Rangers' history. Dangerdan97 17:45, September 5, 2010 (UTC)
- Ah, I see what you're saying. I still think we have a connotation problem, though: the phrase "showed concern for" is generally, I think, a positive one, i.e. that the Republic was interested in, cared about, and encouraged their growth. If, however, this is intended to be negative, then perhaps a word like "worry" would be more clear. "New Republic politicians were worried about the growth of another..."? Do you think that'd do the trick? Jenosidanian 18:26, September 5, 2010 (UTC)
