[edit] Vampires

I suppose that everyone has noticed that Anzati are pretty much the Star Wars equivelent of Vampires (oooh, spooky.). Darth Vatrir

or wraithDarth Buddha 03:01, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

  • Closer to ghouls or zombies, since these guys eat brains, and there is actually a "Force vampire" --Dixieboy 02:53, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] No Pulse

That small paragraph I put in about Anzati having no pulse is mentioned in the New Essential Guide to Alien Species, if anyone has the book, please back me up. Lord Vatrir

Officially backing you up - unidentified NEGAS owner

well its obvious that there bodies circulatory system provides a constant flow of blood intead of pumping like a human heart. the body heat geuss they just dont need to be warm

[edit] healing

if they are supposed to have a healing factor, why did koffe not heal when Quin killed him? Quinlanfan 16:46, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

healing factor cannot work if the person is dead. they need to be ALIVE to heal

[edit] Renaming the article

Why is this article named Anzat? Anzat is the planet. The race is Anzati (both singular and plural. Unless anybody objects and can demonstrate to me that I'm incorrect in this, I'm going to move this article to Anzati and then copy the Anzat (planet) article contents here and redirect that page to here. - JMAS 12:17, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

  • In NEGAS, the species is listed under 'Anzat.'-Solus (Bird of Prey) 13:07, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
    • Well, then all the articles of characters of this species are wrong. "Dannik Jerriko was an anzati..." and "Volfe Karkko was an anzati Jedi..." and so on. Are there any other sources besides that one that state the same? If not, then I'm going to have to say the NEGAS is incorrect on this. - JMAS 13:21, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
      • Anzati is the possessive and the adjective. At least, that's how I've seen it used. I can't be 100% sure.-Solus (Bird of Prey) 14:57, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
        • The UAA also has the singular name of the species as Anzat. Kellhorn 15:42, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Force drain

From what I've gathered, there is canonical evidence that the luck Anzati leech is the Force, and that they suck Force energy along with brain matter while feeding. But apart from a single paragraph in the introduction, which I included, there is nothing in the article about this. What gives? DarthMRN 22:18, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] This should probably be put underneath the Force Sensitives Species Category

Why is this not underneath the force-sensitve-species category? They are as force sensitive as the Miraluka or the Kiffar. They probably should be added to the category. Jedigeneral

  • Fix it. We're not your slaves. Jediknight19bby (Jedi High Council Chambers!) 23:26, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
    • Jeez, no need to bite off his head. Jedigeneral, what JK19bby means to say is that You should feel free to add to the article yourself, and not to rely on others to do so. Don't be afraid to make an edit. It you make a mistake, as long as it's in good faith, someone will fix it up for you. -- dmirableAckbar (It's A Trap!) 23:32, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
    • Jediknight19bby, did you even consider that he might not know how to do that? And if you don't feel like helping someone, than just don't respond to something like this.
Jedigeneral, I'm happy to help you. Just tell me what you need and, I agree, this should probably be in the force-sensitve-species category. --Jedimca0(Do or Do Not, There is No Try)

umm whats the source for anzati being force sensitive they eat peoples brains and make distinctions for force sensitvive indiviguals. its implied tehy arent all force sensitive. the kiffar arent all force sensitive either. the only of the three species that was entirely force sensitive was the miraluka.

[edit] Descripancies on feeding?

There seems to be some descripancies on whether or not the Anzati need soup - the essence of a sentient's life - to live. The article states in tree places:

The Anzati could live for millennia, sustained by the life essence they drew from others. An Anzat who did
not feed at least once every few days merely grew hungry. Lack of sufficient meals had not more of a
supernatural aging effect on an Anzat than it did on a Human.
To subsist on the average sentient, an Anzat would have to feed on a dozen beings every day; and since
the meal rarely survived the feast, the Anzat would leave a trail of corpses. On a world without sentient
beings, or in a place where soup is in short supply, an Anzat could easily starve to death. Most of the
galaxy, however, was unfortunate in this regard: the Anzati were not liable to die off so easily—sentient
beings were plentiful enough to feed a legion of them.
It was rare for an Anzat become a Jedi because it was believed that Anzati were of too violent a nature to
be entrusted with such power as the Jedi wielded, and would not be able to resist using their power to drink
the "soup" of those around them.[1]

With Karkko, this belief proved true, as he had been so well trained that he believed himself above the
instinct shared by his species, having never tasted "soup."

Does anyone know what the G-canon is? LadySunflower 07:26, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

  • The only G-canon is that there was an Anzati named Dannik Jerriko at Mos Eisley. Everything else we know about Anzati is C-canon. 66.191.239.123 02:34, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Other Anzati

Question: Could Anzati drink the soup of other Anzati?

There is no reason to suspect they could not. --TheDoctor42 20:35, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Life span

I was hoping we could get a decent number not just "Eons" I can't find a number of years measured by eons. I know eon means alot of years but I want a solid number. Anyone out there that can help?--72.241.206.170 23:17, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Unfortunately, eon really has no specific numerical value. Writers have often given it values ranging from a generation(give or take about 30-40 years) up until a full life-spand(anywhere from 70+ years to a few years past 100), and others have even gone on to give it the value of thousands or even millions of years. Like you said, "eon" tends to generally be defined as an exceptionally long time. Unfortunately, from what I know, Anzati haven't been given a general numerical life span. All that we DO know is that they can live to be over 1,000 years old(as evidenced by Dannik Jerriko), and that the oldest allegedly "roamed the galaxy when the Galactic Republic was just a dream of the Core Worlds" and could live for millennia if sustained by the life essence of others, which could put the oldest anywhere over 25,000 years old. I think it's safe to say the Anzati are immortal, at least by human standards.--GeneticInsanity 19:39, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Movie photo added

I added a pic of Dannik Jerriko to this page. I think it is important to include actual photos in articles where ever possible for better visual reference. Paintings are usually beat drawings as well, but they are both interpreted by artists. If an individual was included in the movies it is important to feature his/her picture in the article even if they were not a very important member of their species in the expanded universe. Hope no one disagrees with this add. IthinkIwannaLeia 04:04, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Saljé Tasha slayed by Rancisis?

This article claims that Tasha was killed by Oppo Rancisis in Star Wars Republic: Trackdown but there's no mention about that in Saljé Tashas article nor is she herself even mentioned in Oppo Rancisis and as far as I know she only escapes the scene and is not seen again by now. I'm confused. -- Sol (discuss) 08:35, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

I see, I'll never get answers here. I will delete the information that Tasha is killed by Rancisis if nobody can clarify that she was actually killed in this comic. I am sure she never died in any source, but I am asking you here because I don't think you guys would write any bullshit so I thought there must be anything I did not consider. -- Sol (discuss) 00:06, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
